At Daffy, we believe in making charitable giving easy, efficient, and impactful. As a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), we offer a unique platform for individuals to contribute to their favorite causes and organizations.
The criteria for allowed donations on Daffy are straightforward. All donations are accompanied by a letter that lists information from the donor, to the extent they wish to share it with the charity, and a memo line indicating the donor’s intent for the donation. Most donations made by Daffy members are designated “for where needed most,” meaning that the donation is unrestricted. This allows the charities to use the funds where they are most needed, maximizing the impact of your generosity.
Daffy delivers all donations to charities in cash, offering you the flexibility to choose from any of the over 1.5 million charities on our platform. This means you have the freedom to support a wide range of causes that align with your values and interests.
However, it's important to note that as with all donor-advised funds, Daffy members may not recommend donations to satisfy pre-existing pledges or obligations for their private benefit. Donation recommendations may not provide more than an incidental benefit to you or your family. Examples of donation recommendations that may not be approved include tuition payments, tickets to a gala, or membership benefits to other organizations.
Despite these restrictions, Daffy remains a powerful tool for charitable giving. Whether you're an investor who has benefitted from the stock market's rise or someone who simply wants to make a difference, Daffy provides a convenient and tax-efficient way to give back.
Join the Daffy community today and make giving a habit. Together, we can create a world where everyone puts something aside regularly for those less fortunate than themselves.
