Description

In October 2024, as part of our Corporate Generosity Program, Aulick Engineering is sending a team of seven employees to Guatemala. This service project is aligned with our vision of showing kindness, helping those in need, and investing our time and our talents in support of others.

In partnership with Servant Ministries, we will be serving the people of the eastern region of Guatemala to provide support for the basic needs of life--clean water and sufficient nutrition. This remote area is known for its poverty, oppression, violence, and hopelessness.

While there, our team will be providing extra hands to support existing programs, funding and delivering food packs to local schools, funding and providing extra hands for construction projects, and investigating potential ways to provide a long-term solution to their water issues.

As we prepare for this trip, we realize that we alone cannot address all of the needs. In an effort to maximum the impact to this region, we are reaching out to our business partnerships to create awareness and invite you to join us in making a difference.

Your donations can provide an improved quality of life through helping to fund Eco Stoves for families. The cost of the stove with delivery and installation is $300 per stove. Eco Stoves provide a means of cooking for the people in remote areas using two-thirds less firewood (which is significant due to the region's deforestation). Families typically cook outside over an open fire, which day after day, results in respiratory illnesses for family members. These stoves will enable families to cook inside with ventilation to the outside. Respiratory illness is another major issue in this region and our support can make a huge difference. Your donation will go directly toward the purchase and installation of an Eco Stove for a family.

Your donations to provide water filters and rain collection systems can help change lives. Malnutrition is a major issue in this region due to the effects of ingesting polluted water, in addition to the challenge of the lack of water due to major droughts. The cost of each Water Filtration & Rain Collection System is $500.

Your donations can help to support our construction efforts to build roofs for shelters/homes for widows.

If you are interested in supporting these initiatives, your donations will honor our team serving the people of Guatemala. Funds over the goal will go directly to Servant Ministries to use in serving the local Guatemalan community through other projects.

Supporting our team allows you to be a part of our trip. These opportunities aren't possible without people "back home" providing encouragement and emotional support as we venture out of the comfort of our day-to-day norms. Your financial support will allow us to have a greater impact in this region.

We appreciate your consideration and are thankful to have friends and family be part of the journey!
