Build a Home for the Divine: The Shri Shyam Sundar Jagannatha Temple

Shri Shyam Sundar Jagannatha Temple is a vision rooted in the ancient lineage of Sadguru Bhagavān Śrī Śrī Vijay Kṛṣṇa Gosvāmījī, carried forward today by Śrī Śrī Svāmī Abhedānanda Sarasvatī.

This temple represents a rare and unprecedented spiritual unification. It brings together the intimate, heart-awakening presence of Shyam Sundar with the universal, boundary-transcending embrace of Lord Jagannatha. Here, personal devotion meets collective service, creating a living ecosystem where Sanātana Dharma is practiced daily.

Why This Temple Is Different

We envision a sacred space where children grow through experience rather than instruction alone, and where devotion naturally expresses itself as service. This vision includes:

• Nurturing the Next Generation through community farming, instilling responsibility and reverence for the earth

• Radical Compassion through weekly Annadānam (prasādam distribution) offered without distinction

• Reverence for Life through an expanded Goshālā dedicated to the loving protection of cows

• Inner Awakening through sacred spaces for meditation, retreat, and contemplation

In our tradition, building a home shelters a family, but building a temple shelters Dharma itself. This effort marks a rare opportunity to establish a permanent abode for the Divine—one that may serve and uplift generations to come.

As part of this sacred undertaking, the immediate phase of the project involves securing land near Houston, Texas, with a goal of completing this step by mid-February.
