d.light Brings Reliable, Affordable Solar Energy To Low-Income Families

Hundreds of millions of people still live without reliable electricity. d.light has spent nearly two decades changing that reality through affordable solar products and pay-as-you-go financing. The company reports more than 210 million lives reached, 17,000 jobs supported, 43 million tons of carbon emissions offset, and approximately $800 million in loans disbursed to customers. In FY2026, d.light reported $153 million in revenue and $21 million in EBITDA. Its work already operates at extraordinary scale across major African markets.

d.light is expanding into three additional African markets with plans to bring first-time electricity access to another 21 million people while creating or supporting tens of thousands of jobs. Every additional household connected means something immediate: light after sunset, a charged phone, more hours for a child to study, greater opportunity for a small business, and less dependence on kerosene.
