Today, on Giving Tuesday, we reflect on the incredible strides made at Lightship Foundation. Since 2017, we’ve empowered over six thousand tech startups, helping them secure more than $500 million in funding. Events like Black Tech Week, Lightship Bootcamp, and Workflow Wednesday amplify these successes, connecting founders to the resources they need to thrive.

There’s so much more to be done…

Some of the nation’s most remarkable entrepreneurs—women, Black, and Brown founders—still receive less than 5% of venture capital funding. Your support helps us bridge this gap by funding programs like our Bootcamps, creating jobs, fostering innovation, and building more inclusive tech ecosystems.

Here’s how your contribution helps:

1. Scholarships to our in-person or virtual Bootcamp programs in 2025.

2. Free tickets to Black Tech Week in 2025, opening doors to transformative connections and resources.

3. National expansion to bring Lightship Foundation’s impact to entrepreneurs across the country, building on regional support from JobsOhio.

Small businesses account for nearly half of the U.S. GDP and create two-thirds of new jobs annually. Yet, in a challenging economic climate marked by rising costs, limited access to capital, and global uncertainties, entrepreneurs need support now more than ever.
