Description

Five years ago, my colleague Lovisa was killed by a reckless driver while leaving the office. Her death wasn’t a freak accident. It was the predictable outcome of bad street design and weak leadership on pedestrian safety in San Francisco. These deaths are preventable.

Walk SF is the only nonprofit in the City focused entirely on this. They push for the things that actually work: slower speed limits, daylighted intersections, protected crossings, speed cameras, and street redesigns that force drivers to slow down. The progress SF has made on pedestrian safety, slow as it is, is largely their doing.

I’ll match every donation dollar for dollar, up to $2,000. Whatever you give, Walk SF gets double.

If you want walking to be safer in this city, please chip in what you can.
