Description
Daniel Mila, a single father, firefighter, athlete, and outdoorsman was paralyzed in a car accident in 2021. Despite this major setback he continues to work, takes care of his 10 year old son, coaches football, and leads an active life. He plays baseball, skis, and also loves to handcycle. He used one of our handcycles to ride across Iowa in the annual RAGBRAI ride, over 400 miles in 7 days. Unfortunately e-assist handcycles are very expensive and he needs your help to help him afford one.
Able Bodied Inc is a California non-profit with a mission of helping people with disabilities experience "able bodied" adventures. Daniel is part of our Get1Help2 program, in which he will get assistance raising funds for his own handcycle if he pays it forward and helps at least two others get into the sport. Daniel is more than happy to do so so your donation will not only help Daniel get his handcycle, but will be amplified by Daniel becoming one of our Able Bodied Ambassadors.
