Arnold and I have weathered many hurricanes in our lifetime and are heartbroken by the devastating impact on communities affected by Hurricane Helene and Milton. These families are facing unimaginable challenges, so we are asking our friends and family to join us in supporting relief efforts so that these communities can recover and rebuild.

We are supporting these two organizations that are currently on the ground providing crucial aid to those in need:

1️⃣ Samaritan's Purse: A nondenominational Christian organization that mobilizes staff and equipment and enlists thousands of volunteers to provide emergency aid to victims of natural disasters in the U.S. They also stay behind after their initial response to rebuild or restore houses for families in need.

Hurricane Helene: Responding in five locations across four states after Hurricane Helene devastated parts of the Southeast. Due to severe flooding, property damage, and infrastructure disruption, Samaritan's Purse is providing various forms of assistance:

- Volunteer teams helping with flood cleanup, tree removal, and debris clearing

- Airlifting food and water to isolated communities

- Coordinating with local churches and partners for relief efforts

Hurricane Milton: The Tampa area was spared a direct hit from the eyewall of the storm, nonetheless received 9 inches of rain over 3 hours. With that, Samaritan's Purse is deploying to Charlotte County, Florida where they will be helping to mud-hout homes and cut up downed trees.

2️⃣ 828 Strong: 828Strong is a fund started by Biltmore Church. So far in response to Hurricane Helene, Biltmore Church has supported their community by distributing crucial supplies like food and water to those in need. They are committed to assisting not just in the short-term, but for the long-term needs in the weeks and months ahead.
