Description
When a dangerous clot blocks an artery or vein, restoring circulation quickly can determine whether tissue and even a limb can be saved. iCHOR Vascular has developed the iSWEEP family of thrombectomy systems to mechanically remove clot while incorporating protection intended to capture fragments that might otherwise escape during the procedure. The devices do not require thrombolytic drugs or large capital equipment. iCHOR’s 7F arterial and 14F venous systems are already FDA-cleared, and the technology has now been used in more than 100 patients.
iCHOR is expanding the platform with an 8F system designed for thrombosed dialysis access while continuing to broaden use of its existing devices. This is technology that has already moved into patient care, with the platform now extending into additional situations where physicians need to restore blood flow quickly and efficiently.
