In Loving Memory of Sam King

Samuel Christian King, affectionately known as Sam, Sammer, Little Sam, and SK4MC, was born on June 10, 1987, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Shirley King and Samuel King. From an early age, Sam was the life of the party. Funny, charismatic, outgoing, and full of personality, he was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. Whether singing in the school choir, making people laugh, or competing on the field or court, Sam had a way of connecting with people from every walk of life. Sports were a big part of Sam's life growing up, from basketball to track and field, but football held a special place in his heart, just as it had for his father. After winning a state championship in high school, he earned a full-ride football scholarship to New Mexico State University, where he continued his athletic career and earned his bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.

Sam's creativity and ambition extended well beyond sports. Music had always been one of his greatest passions, and after years of creating his own, he found a new purpose in helping other artists bring their ideas to life. Over the years, he built an impressive career producing music videos, television shows, and film projects, working alongside some of the biggest names in entertainment.

Though his career took him to Los Angeles, Sam never forgot where he came from. He proudly repped Las Vegas everywhere he went and found meaningful ways to give back, including organizing annual toy drives for children in his hometown. Sam was also incredibly vocal about his personal growth. With four and a half years of sobriety, he worked hard to become the healthiest, happiest, and most honest version of himself. He was living with purpose, chasing his dreams, and building a life he was proud of. And everyone around him was cheering him on.

Above all, Sam cared. He cared deeply about his family, his friends, his music, his work, his health, and his city. He poured his heart into the things and people he loved, and his impact reached further than he could have ever imagined. His life was a beautiful reminder that growth is possible, that love is meant to be shared, and that showing up for others is one of the greatest gifts we can give. Though his time here was far too short, Sam leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and genuine connection that will live on through everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
