I’m proud to be part of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, not just as a staff member, but as someone deeply passionate about our mission. Hunger is not a privilege-it’s a human right. And being part of an organization that truly believes in that is something I hold close to my heart. Food is so much more than nourishment. It’s at the center of our lives- we celebrate with it, connect over it, and rely on it for strength and well-being. Yet, too many of our neighbors don’t have access to this basic necessity. Food insecurity doesn’t have one single face; it affects people from all backgrounds and walks of life. But at the end of the day, circumstances don’t matter- what matters is making sure no one in our community goes hungry. As a local food bank, we work alongside food pantries, meal programs, and other hunger relief partners to make sure individuals and families have the food they need to thrive. Because when people’s basic needs are met, they have the power to move forward in life.
