Save Street Cats with Friends of Normie

There are over 50 million stray cats on the streets. Friends of Normie (FON) is the most effective and efficient cat rescue at depopulating the streets of strays in Southern California. Friendly cats go into their network of >800 volunteer fosters and are adopted out by FON and/or its numerous rescue partners around the country. Unsociable cats are fixed through FON's sponsored TNR clinics and returned to their homes. In the end, the goal is to depopulate the streets of these stray cats, putting the cats first at every stage.

FON's cost per live outcome ($71/animal) is a fraction of most rescues', which means our donations generate maximum impact. Last year, FON rescued ~3,800 cats from the streets, an increase of +254% y/y. Over 10,000 animals have been rescued since 2020. The impact is real and the movement is growing.

For full disclosure, I am the CFO of Friends of Normie and I'm also a board member. My wife founded the organization in 2020 and converted it into a 501(c)(3) so that she could raise money to sponsor TNR clinics. Thousands of cats have been fixed due to the generosity of FON's donors. Every male/female pair fixed prevents 2 million births from occurring over the following 7 years.

We have accomplished a lot already, but we want to do so much more. FON is built to scale efficiently, always maximizing impact per dollar while prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of the cats.
