On October 28, Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica – the country’s first hurricane in over a decade and the first Category 5 to ever strike the island. It has been described as “the storm of the century” for Jamaica.
50,000 people have been displaced and 500,000 have been left without power. Southwest Jamaica, the country’s breadbasket, has been devastated by flooding, threatening a prolonged humanitarian crisis.
Receiving money – without strings attached – supports families’ short term survival and long term recovery. Cash aid is fast and fully remote, letting families meet essential needs quickly and reaching them via digital transfers that don’t tax fragile supply chains or clog transit routes.
GiveDirectly has previously sent emergency cash to survivors of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, LA wildfires, Kenya floods, and many other disasters.

Whether you’re raising funds for a global non-profit or a school booster program, it’s easy to give together with Daffy Campaigns. Leverage unique features such as matching, multi-charity support, donation impact, and more.
By donating on this page you are making an irrevocable contribution to Daffy Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charity, and a subsequent donation recommendation to the charity listed above, subject to our Member Agreement. Contributions are generally eligible for a charitable tax-deduction and a yearly consolidated receipt will be provided by Daffy. Processing fees may be applied and will reduce the value available to send to the end charity. The recipient organizations have not provided permission for this listing and have not reviewed the content.
Donations to campaigns are distributed to the recipient charities on a weekly basis. In the rare event that Daffy is unable to fulfill the donation request to this charity, you will be notified and given the opportunity to choose another charity. This may occur if the charity is unresponsive or if the charity is no longer in good standing with regulatory authorities.
