Description
In 2025, the Bundibugyo ebolavirus (BDBV) re-emerged in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda — one of the deadliest strains of Ebola, with a case fatality rate exceeding 30%. Communities already weakened by conflict, displacement, and chronic healthcare deficits are now facing a race against time.
Alliance for Medical Access (AMA) is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 32-0841542) working through vetted local partners in Sub-Saharan Africa to deliver rapid, accountable epidemic response where it is needed most.
Your donation to our Epidemic Rapid Response Fund (ERRF) will directly fund:
🏥 Emergency medical supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline health workers
🧪 Diagnostic support and laboratory capacity through our partner network
🏘️ Community health worker (CHW) training for early detection and safe isolation protocols
📦 Last-mile logistics to reach populations cut off from formal health systems
AMA operates with full transparency — we hold the Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency and publish our financials publicly. 100% of funds designated to ERRF are deployed to field operations through our implementing partners; no funds are held in cryptocurrency on our balance sheet.
