The Phoenix Dream Center (City Help, Inc. of Phoenix) serves Phoenix Valley metro communities with food & clothing outreaches and welcomes all those in need into our residential programs (local, statewide, national & international), space permitting. The Dream Center's purpose is to provide human services to all age groups; addressing immediate and long-term needs in the areas of homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, education, and human trafficking. To be an inner city resource that distributes hope to the homeless, food to the hungry, clothes to the naked, and restoration to the broken. At the core of our mission and vision is the desire to be the premier resource for the City's low-income, at-risk population -- a drive that invariably relieves the City's already heavily burdened social services network and improves target locations by fostering positive and holistic neighbor-helping-neighbor philosophies. We are building a community of resilient people whose lives have been restored. The men, women and families we help also go on to help others, to pass on the hope they have been given, and to make transformation possible for others. The Phoenix Dream Center has become primarily known for two things in our City; 1) Our Community Outreaches and 2) Our Housing Programs. Each day, through various Dream Center Programs, we conduct Street and Nursing Home Outreaches to people in need. At every outreach, food, clothing and a message of hope is provided. Our Residential Programs provide housing to over 300 people each night. The housing programs at the Phoenix Dream Center include an adult Life Recovery Program, a Program for Young Women recently out of Sex Trafficking, teen to young adult Crisis Pregnancy Program, an Affordable Housing Program and a Foster Care Age-Out Program. The Dream Center also provides transitional housing in newly remodeled, fully independent homes. With focus on restoration and reunification between parents and children in the custody of CPS; they receive specialized counseling, classes and training in order to support their progress as parents; with the goal of living as a healthy, self-sufficient, family unit in spiritual harmony. Last but certainly not least, we are also proud of our Dream Center Skate Park Outreach which brings troubled youth together with responsible adult role models. This particular outreach targets a key need in the Valley, youth at a crossroads in their lives and on the verge of making potentially serious and damaging life choices. Our staff volunteers establish mentoring relationships and become a regular and dependable part of their lives; fomenting solid decision making processes.
