    This year, I'm supporting a small but incredible new organization that has already moved the needle for animal welfare: Innovate Animal Ag. IAA is taking a suffering-reduction approach to welfare by bringing new technology to farmers that reduce suffering AND improve economic outcomes for farmers - thus making it super easy to scale impact.

    This year, they brought in ovo sexing to the US from Europe and kicked off a new program that could significantly reduce chicken lameness through a better vaccine.     At minimum, think of this as a diversifying bet in a world where veganism hasn't achieved broad appeal and alternative proteins are still slow to progress. More likely, IAA's work will truly move the needle for billions of chickens farmed in deplorable conditions each year.
