About
Eisner Contoocook River: This project was a partnership with the American Whitewater Assoc and the town of Henniker which lead to the conservation protection of a 9.4 acre parcel (by 5 rivers) acquired by Amer Whitewater who subsequently gifted the parcel to the town. This parcel was in private hands and went on the market. It had served as the put-in site for boaters wanting to 'shoot' the challenging rapids just below, and if sold to a private party would become closed to the public. The transaction kept the site open to the public, forever.
