By donating on this page you are making an irrevocable contribution to Daffy Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charity, and a subsequent donation recommendation to the charity listed above, subject to our Member Agreement. Contributions are generally eligible for a charitable tax-deduction and a yearly consolidated receipt will be provided by Daffy. Processing fees may be applied and will reduce the value available to send to the end charity. The recipient organizations have not provided permission for this listing and have not reviewed the content.
Donations to organizations are distributed as soon as the donation is approved and the funds are available. In the rare event that Daffy is unable to fulfill the donation request to this charity, you will be notified and given the opportunity to choose another charity. This may occur if the charity is unresponsive or if the charity is no longer in good standing with regulatory authorities.
More about this organization
Mission
Mercy Chefs is a faith-based, non-profit disaster and humanitarian relief organization. We exist to provide professionally prepared, restaurant-quality meals to victims, volunteers and first responders in natural disasters and emergencies, and we partner with existing like-minded organizations to further their mission by providing food service in underserved communities across the country and around the globe.
About
Disaster Relief & Long-Term Recovery We respond to natural disasters and national emergencies at a moment’s notice. On deployment, our professional chefs prepare high-quality, hot meals on a mass scale—up to 20,000 meals a day—for victims, first responders and volunteers.
Community Kitchens Mercy Chefs’ CoFounder, Ann LeBlanc, inspired the development of our Community Kitchens and Outreach division. She recognized our organization’s responsibility to put our resources, volunteers and skills to use outside of disasters to feed food-insecure populations across the country.
Food Insecurity Response Mercy Chefs has delivered millions of meals through grocery box distributions. The impact these groceries have made on people’s lives is unparalleled. We’ve expanded this program and continue to find new ways to support people in food-insecure communities through job skills training, single-parent cooking classes and budget-friendly recipe creation.
