DHTI was established in 2011 to address the increasing demand for a linguistically and culturally diverse healthcare delivery system by assisting multicultural health professionals to enter or re-enter the United States healthcare workforce while also enabling healthcare employers to diversify their workforce to be responsive to the needs of their patient population.
