Casa De Oro Foundation was stable in 2019 as the economy and jobs came into the area and loans had brought taxes and paid off debt. The foundation continued to provide affordable housing to various groups which had begun to recover from the economic downturn of previous years. Happy to say that many of our tenants were attending school and getting jobs which stabilized their lives and in many cases saw them recover from their drug addictions. Year end was stable and the future looked promising but of course that all changed with the appearance of COVID-19.
