The Lake Chabot Junior Golf Academy’s mission is to provide every student the opportunity to learn and play golf at NO COST. We wish to instill core values like honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, and hard work into our students to become outstanding people.

Where Youth are Enriched through the Game of Golf This academy was founded in 1993 by the Oakland Raider great Raymond Chester with an original goal aimed at helping youth living in inner-city and underserved communities. Many graduates of our academy have gone on to teach at high school and college levels and several have returned to continue our program goals. Our program is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and is available for all students ages 7-17 and we operate year-round with the exception of a New Year’s break.
