Services to veterans
Paralyzed Veterans of America, a congressionally chartered veterans service organization founded in 1946, has developed a unique expertise on a wide variety of issues involving the special needs of our members, veterans of the armed forces who have experienced spinal cord injury or dysfunction. PVA will use that expertise to be the leading advocate for quality health care for our members, research and education addressing spinal cord injury and dysfunction, benefits available as a result of our members' military service, civil rights and opportunities which maximize the independence of our members and all people with disabilities. For more information visit www.SupportVeterans.org and/or www.pva.org.
We at the Arizona Chapter Paralyzed Veterans of America champions and honors Veterans of the United States of America by taking action to improve the lives of U.S. Military Veterans and all who have experienced spinal cord injury, disease, or dysfunction. We do this through advocacy for proper health care, improving public accessibility, communication, education, and the promotion of activities and sports. Together we are effective partners for life; ensuring each Veteran receives full benefits earned through the service to our nation. We also have a Medical Loan Closet in our office that provides medical equipment on service fee/donation to all in the State of Arizona.

All Mission Elements Are Designed To Reinforce One Another. For Example, The Chapter's Health And Recreation "point System" Awards Points For Members Who Engage In Graduated Levels Of Activity, Enabling Them To Qualify For Chapter Support For More Activity. Members Who Become More Active May Become Interested In Other Areas Of The Chapter's Mission, Such As Advocacy, Which Gets Them More Broadly Involved In The Operation Of Their Own Organization.
