2018 AccomplishmentsIntensives: Approximately 55% of budget The primary purpose of Shepherds Heart Ministry is to provide 5-day counseling intensives with pastors, missionaries and ministry leaders whose marriages are in trouble, who are experiencing burnout due to the ministry or have experienced some sort of moral failure in their marriages in one of our counseling centers in Colorado, Michigan in the US; Canada, Israel and Mexico. In 2018, we conducted a total of 30 week-long intensives as well as ongoing Face-Time and Skype Follow-up sessions. Week to week counseling sessions are done with local leaders. Prevention: Approximately 25% of budget The second purpose, following crisis intervention is prevention. SHM conducts marriage conferences, leadership conferences, and pastor's conferences and does training with various pastoral and missionary organizations, church staffs for the purpose of teaching prevention skills so that crisis does not occur. These prevention sessions take place individually or with groups. Several webinars were conducted for ECO pastors and their staff members. Prevention training took place in the US and Israel. Prevention workshops and training took place at the MLR National Conference and a number of various organizations in the Middle East. Training: Approximately 15% of budgetTraining Sessions were conducted for counselors in the Intensive Model of Shepherds Heart Ministry along with direct observation (with written permission) by other counselors in training. SHM conducted a 4-month training with 2 full days training each month for pastors and leaders to learn the basic counseling skills they need to fulfill their job positions.In 2018, SHM took a group of 44 people to Israel on a tour to expose them to the ministry that SHM does there, introducing them to leaders, touring our facility that we use to do intensives in, and general exposure to the land.Consulting and Pastoral Care: Approximately 5% of budget Consulting with Church Administrators and Staff due to issues that arise in the congregation.
