Mission

Our mission is to save stray, abandoned, neglected, or abused animals and subsidize spay/neuter services for pet owners who cannot afford to have their pets spayed or neutered.

About

In 2018, we spayed and neutered over 4000 dogs and cats throughout Volusia County through our low-cost spay/neuter program and our municipally funded trap/neuter/return (TNR) program for cats. We held over 36 low-cost pet shot clinics that provided affordable vaccinations for pet owners who could not afford to have their pets vaccinated against diseases such as rabies, distemper, and kennel cough. We also provided low-cost testing for heartworm in dogs and for feline leukemia in cats, and preventative products at our low-cost shot clinics. We provided funding for pet owners whose pets had life-threatening emergencies and who could not afford veterinary services. We provided and funded TNR services to cat caregivers in municipalities in Volusia County that have not adopted a TNR program. We fostered and found homes for over 500 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens in 2018. We established, administered, and/or served as advisors for TNR programs for several cities in Volusia County, resulting in a 4000 reduction of cat intake and euthanasia at our local animal shelters. We provided information and/or held meetings for a countywide TNR program in several cities. We have finally accomplished our goal with all municipalities in Volusia County, Florida having established a Trap/Neuter/Return and return to field program. We will continue to work with all municipalities in Volusia County, FL to ensure all animal programs are working properly for the welfare of animals.
