Air Crash Support Network, Inc. was founded in the fall of 1996, D/B/A Aircraft Casualty Emotional Support Services (ACCESS). ACCESS - Aircraft Casualty Emotional Support Services sole focus is to aid and facilitate in the grieving process of people who have been affected by an airplane crash. By providing access to emotional understanding and assistance to friends and families of crash victims and survivors, ACCESS helps people cope with this nightmare. AirCraft Casualty Emotional Support Services (ACCESS) - PROGRAMSAirCraft Casualty Emotional Support Services is a three-part program of supportive services, designed to help lessen the bewilderment and isolation following an air crash by providing immediate access to invaluable grief support and appropriate resources:(A) Volunteer Grief Mentoring Program:This program is comprised of trained volunteers who have experienced a similar tragic loss. Through our toll-free hot-line and website, ACCESS provides a convenient and accessible volunteer network that places survivors in touch with others who provide continuous help through the weeks, months and years following a crash. (B) Resource and Referral Network:The network refers victims to appropriate bereavement support groups and services in the victim's area.(C) Support Services Guide :This guide consists of written and audio visual materials which are distributed to victims following an air crash to help clarify the roles of the various emergency support organizations and government agencies available to the victims. It includes ACCESS's toll-free helpline number, Internet address, grief literature and bereavement guides, which are helpful to the victims in the aftermath of an air crash.
