The mission of the School of Acrobatics & New Circus Arts is to improve the mental, emotional, and physical health of children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities by engaging them in the joyous creativity of acrobatics and circus arts. SANCA offers experiences that are physically challenging, socially enriching, encourage participation in the arts, and reach youth of all ages and abilities who have the least access and opportunity to participate in healthy, creative, physical arts activities. SANCA gives youth a safe, social, constructive environment to be physically active, to learn physical literacy, and to learn physical creativity and performing arts. Our programs create opportunities for youth to explore their interests and build positive relationships with peers and adults.

Circus Arts Programs and Facility Rentals:SANCA is committed to addressing challenges to our community's health and welfare through innovative, non-competitive, individual and group circus arts. SANCA's Circus Arts Programs offer youth and adults rewarding experiences that are physically challenging and socially enriching. SANCAs programs broaden community engagement, reach diverse audiences and encourage participation in the arts. SANCAs circus arts classes for the general public include acrobatics, aerial, trampoline, tight wire, flying trapeze, juggling, tumbling, German Wheel, Cyr Wheel, Chinese pole and more. SANCA serves children from the ages of 2.5 through adult.Our youth classes and day camps provide a safe, social, constructive environment for unique physical arts education. Classes are offered in four 12-week sessions per year. In the summer, SANCA offers ten weeks of five-day (half-day and full-day) circus camps for youth ages 6 to 17. SANCA serves low-income, at-risk and underserved populations through a Youth Scholarship Program, giving tuition aid to 1,200 students (including special programs) in 2018.SANCA also offers facility rentals to other nonprofit performing arts groups, as well as independent artists performing in circus and theatre. Circus merchandise and equipment (juggling props, unicycles, etc.) is offered for sale to SANCA constituents.Directly served: 17,487
