The Foundation also provides or arranges for the provision of certain patient care and on-call coverage services and research, teaching and administrative services to the Central Valley. Through clinics and various agreements, the Foundation is able to insure that patient care as well as accompanying clinical research and community education is provided seamlessly through an integrated network of providers. The Foundation also provides or arranges for the provision of care for vulnerable populations including Medicare and Medi-Cal beneficiaries and charity care patients. Care is made available to beneficiaries of these programs on a non-discriminatory basis within its out-patient facilities. The Foundation also makes investments in community benefit activities.
