Mission

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Philadelphia County trains and supports community volunteers to advance the welfare of children in foster care through effective advocacy. Casa's objective is to be a leader in advancing the well-being, stability and permanency of the most vulnerable children in foster care in Philadelphia. We accomplish this by having trained community volunteers successfully advocate for abused and neglected children, and break down systemic barriers in a fractured system of care, ensuring that every child is heard and receives the individualized services they need in a loving and supportive home environment with a viable plan for future stability

About

Casa's primary mission is to train and support volunteers to serve as court appointed advocates to children that are currently placed in the child welfare system. Throughout the year, Casa has been able to provide training to 57 new volunteers that have completed all the requirements to be assigned to advocate for over a 100 new children throughout the Philadelphia region.
