Our team focuses on lifting up children from situations of homelessnes, abuse, poverty, and abandonment, and offering programs that provide a sense of family, belonging, and identity, empowering them to become independent, self-sustaining adults.

HORIZON PROVIDED EMPOWERMENT TO 287 CHILDREN AND ADULTS THROUGH OUR EMPOWER THE ORPHANED PROGRAM FRAMEWORK. THIS INCLUDED 24/7 CARE IN A REAL FAMILY SETTING, ALL PHYSICAL NEEDS WERE MET, FULL SCOPE OF EDUCATIONAL INPUTS FROM PRIMARY SCHOOL, THROUGH BOARDING AT HIGH SCHOOL, AND ACADEMIC AND OR TECHNICAL TRAINING SCHOOLS THROUGH OUR INHERITANCE PROGRAM. WE ALSO IMPACT THE CHILDREN SOCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY THROUGH DAILY PROGRAMMING THAT PROVIDES A VARIETY OF SOCIAL AND CHARACTER BUILDING INTERACTIONS AND INDIVIDUAL CARE FOCUSED ON TRAUMA HEALING, BUILDING OF SELF-ESTEEM, BELONGING, PURPOSE AND HOPE. IN ADDITION HORIZON BEGAN OPERATION IN TWO NEW COUNTRIES, GUATEMALA AND HONDURAS. WE PURCHASED A MICRO COMMUNITY IN GUATEMALA WHICH CURRENTLY HAS 23 ORPHANED CHILDREN. IN ADDITION, WE PURCHASED A 23 ACRE FARM IN GUATEMALA WHERE WE WILL CONDUCT BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY PROJECTS. THIS SITE WILL ALSO SERVE AS OUR FUTURE SECOND MICRO COMMUNITY SITE IN GUATEMALA. OVERALL, WE ASSUMED OVER 2 MILLION WORTH OF ASSETS. IN HONDURAS, WE ASSUMED OPERATIONS OF LA PROVIDENCIA A MICRO COMMUNITY VALUED AT OVER 5 MILLION DOLLARS IN PHYSICAL ASSETS INCLUDING A CLINIC, FARM, AND A BI-LINGUAL SCHOOL. THE SITE CURRENTLY HAS 3 FAMILIES WITH 9 ORPHANED CHILDREN. IN KENYA WE STARTED CONSTRUCTION OF A SPORTS FIELD AT OUR MAONO LIGHT COMMUNITY AS WELL AS THE RENOVATION OF AN EXISTING BUILDING WHERE OUR DIRECTOR AND FAMILY WILL LIVE. BOTH TOTAL OVER 60,000 IN IMPROVEMENTS. WE ARE UNABLE TO BRING IN NEW CHILDREN IN KENYA UNTIL A REGISTRATION ISSUE WITH THE GOVERNMENT IS RESOLVED AND WE ADD NEW CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS SO THAT CHILDREN CAN MOVE INTO HOMES.
