Mission
The mission of Ecoarts Connections (EAC) is 'to bring together arts, science, and other fields to deepen public understanding of climate change and speed the shift to sustainable living.' Activities include producing, presenting, and consulting on performances, exhibits, youth programs, and other events.
About
EAC's 2015 middle and high school programs were held at Angevine and Manhattan middle school and Centaurus, Monarch, Boulder, Arapahoe Ridge and Fairview high schools. They included 105 sustainability-inspired arts workshops with professional artists; 6 field trips to arts, science, and other organizations, and 1 exhibit. The arts workshops included training in visual art, theatre, video making, dance, and spoken word poetry/rap, reaching more than 1,100 attendees. The exhibit of science-informed visual art works at the national center for atmospheric research with an attendance of 20,000 over 3 months.
