About

The goal of the employment unit is to provide students with valuable on-site work training, off-site internships, job preparation classes and career counseling, job development and placement in gainful employment in the community. In the employment unit, we provided 8,480 hours of direct instruction, and we had 3600 hours of indirect instruction that helped us provide the best possible care to the students. Staff provided the following classes to teach employment skills: Pre-Work meetings, Job Finders, 1-on-1s, and collaborations when needed. We were able to place students in 26 internships in 2018. These internships are jobs in the community but the wages are paid by ScenicView Academy. We were successful in placing over 21 students in jobs in the community. We have spent more than 50 hours, assisting students in the administration of there You Science assessment, which will help them to find a career.
