IN 2018, MTF EXPERIENCED CONTINUED GROWTH IN THE SPORTS MEDICINE AND SPINAL ORTHOPAEDICS MARKETS, WOUND CARE AND TREMENDOUS GROWTH IN THE USE OF TISSUE FORMS IN PLASTIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE THE INTRODUCTION OF CARTIMAX VIABLE CARTILAGE FIBERS; A READY TO USE, OFF THE SHELF VIABLE CARTILAGE ALLOGRAFT THAT CAN EASILY FILL LESIONS IN THE KNEE, FOOT OR ANKLE, AND FIBERFUSE AND PRIME HD DEMINERALIZED BONE FIBER BASED TISSUE PLATFORMS FOR BONE VOID FILLING APPLICATIONS. IN PLASTIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY, MTF EXPANDED USE OF RENUVA, AN ALLOGRAFT ADIPOSE MATRIX TO TREAT PATIENTS WITH LIPODYSTROPHY, PARRY ROMBERG SYNDROME AND CLEFT PALETTE SOFT TISSUE DEFECTS. MTF ALSO INTRODUCED LIPOGRAFTER, AN AUTOLOGOUS FAT GRAFTING SYSTEM WHICH OFFERS SURGEONS A CONVENIENT, CLOSED SYSTEM TO HARVEST AND REDISTRIBUTE FAT IN THEIR PATIENTS. MTF ALSO CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN BREAST RECONTRUCTION AWARENESS (BRA) DAY IN OCTOBER, A CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS' RIGHTS TO MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION WHEN CHOOSING BREAST RECONSTRUCTION OPTIONS. MTF ALSO CONTINUED ITS SUPPORT OF BIOLOGIC RESEARCH GRANTS THROUGH THE PLASTIC SURGERY FOUNDATION (PSF), FULFILLING THE ANNUAL PART OF ITS (2016) FINANCIAL PLEDGE OF 1M OVER FIVE YEARS.
