A Kendal affiliate, Barclay Friends was established in 1893 to serve the needs of older persons and is governed by a board of directors, half of whom are members of the Religious Society of Friends, or Quakers. Settled in a quiet West Chester neighborhood in Chester County, PA, Barclay Friends offers residential living, personal care, memory care, skilled nursing, and post-acute rehabilitation. Reflecting the Quaker concern for older people, Barclay Friends' mission is to continuously improve care of the aging across the continuum of services we provide.
