The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is dedicated to preserving and exploring the history, environment, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay region, and making this resource available to all.

The museum is a private non-profit educational institution dedicated to furthering an understanding and appreciation of the maritime heritage of the Chesapeake Bay through collection education, documentation, exhibition, research and publication. Over 63,000 members and visitors hailing from the U.S. and abroad participated in the museum experience during FYE 2/28/19.
