Mission

ATHS is the world's largest historical truck member-based society. We hold within our membership, the American Truck and Industry Leader Hall of Fame, the Visitor Center, and Joe James Memorial Library. Our ongoing mission and focus are to collect, preserve, authenticate, and display artifacts and all other relevant materials [books, photographs, etc.] about the origins, progress, and development of the American trucking industry and its pioneering individuals. Everything we eat, sleep on, live in, work and play with or otherwise use every day was at one time on a truck bound for delivery. In support of our mission, we have established board-driven operating principles and a new strategic handbook in which the formative theme borrows from Jim Collins' book Good to Great.

About

Two publications are produced during the year which provides information on upcoming events and programs of the organization. There is also related merchandise sales and efforts are made in the area of collection of information related to the history of the trucking industry and the preservation of antique trucks.
