The mission of Children's Musical Theater San Jose (CMT) is to use musical theater to nurture and educate the youth of today to become the artists, patrons, and leaders of tomorrow. CMT's overarching goals are to provide a healthy environment where young people are empowered and instilled with universal life skills; a nurturing and creative experience for children and young adults to develop self-esteem; an opportunity for children and teachers to integrate the arts into the learning experience; an instrument for children to learn communication skills; and a place where any child with an interest in the performing arts can practice live theater fundamentals and experience the pride of accomplishment.
