In 2018, CROW admitted 4,760 wildlife patients: 58% birds, 33% mammals, 8% reptiles and 1% amphibians. Among the 201+ species seen, many are federally and/or state listed as threatened or endangered including wood storks, eastern indigo snakes, gopher tortoises, and loggerhead, kemp's- ridley and green sea turtles. Of those that survived the first 24 hours, 66% were rehabilitated and released. Our student program allowed us to train 48 future wildlife caregivers, both undergraduate and graduate students from 34 different schools. The education programs both onsite and off allowed us to share our mission well beyond what we've been able to do in prior years - especially with the addition of our education van. Our volunteers donated over 21,000 hours of their time both in care for the animals and for the education programs.
