Social Development Centers, Inc. DBA Community Employment Services provided services and supports to 25 individuals with significant developmental disable and their families during the FY: 2017-2018.This included 25 Individual Program Planning meetings with the persons "IPP" Team including family, Social Worker and other significant persons in their lives.The outcomes for each person supported vary according to what is IMPORTANT TO the person and what's IMPORTANT FOR the person.A sample of the types of individualized outcomes include:- job placement and on the job training and support- banking and pay reporting to SSI- travel training to various places in San Francisco and San Mateo Co.- shopping for personal and household items- making purchases such as coffee, lunch in their home communities- recreational activities, bowling, golf, basketball, tennis, Frisbee golf, soccer, etc.- advocacy training: voting class, assistance to vote, writing letters, phone calls to legislators, attendance at GG Self Advocacy Conference- college classes, City College Art and ComputerCommunity Employment Services continues to be a leader on Person Centered Thinking in the San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo areas. CES Administration services on the PCT Leadership Committee of Golden Gate Regional Center and CES Administration and two Direct Support Staff serve on the PCT Coaches Committee of GGRC.Community Employment Services "Program Coordinator" is the Co-Chair of the Golden Gate Self Advocacy Planning Committee, which puts on a yearly conference for over 200 Self Advocates each year.Community Employment Services "Executive Director" services on the board of directors of TASH and Cal-TASH, she also was the Chair of the Chapter Leadership Committee.Community Employment Services has 26 staff meeting which provided training's on a variety of topics which included: advocacy, Positive Behavior Support, Emergency Preparedness, Aging, Person Centered Thinking Tools, etc.
