About this organization
Mission
The Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (GBCA) exists to nurture and promote a vibrant, diverse, and sustainable arts and cultural community essential to the region’s economic success and quality of life. Conceived by a group of artists in 1998, GBCA convenes the sector around critical issues of strategic importance and advocates for fair and inclusive policies and practices. We provide grants and awards for artists, as well as professional development opportunities and tools for marketing and capacity building. Our members are arts, culture, history, heritage, and humanities organizations, cultural attractions, and artists and patrons who live and work in Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, and Howard counties in Maryland.
