THE HOUSE OF INDIA IS DEDICATED TOWARDS CREATING A GREATER AWARENESS OF INDIA'S RICH AND VARIED CULTURE IN THE SAN DIEGO COMMUNITY. THROUGH ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENTS ORGANIZED BY THE HOUSE OF PACIFIC RELATIONS, THE HOUSE PROMOTES, EDUCATES AND SHOWCASES INDIA'S ART, HISTORY, MUSIC, DANCE AND ETHNIC FOOD. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO SHARE THE JOY AND SPIRIT OF INDIAN TRADITIONS IN SAN DIEGO. THE HOUSE OF INDIA ALSO PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO INTERACT WITH OTHER CULTURES AND PROMOTES UNIVERSAL UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION. OUR EVENTUAL GOAL IS TO BUILD AN INTERNAIONAL COTTAGE IN BOLBOA PARK. THE COTTAGE WILL BE FURNISHED AND STAFFED BY GROUP MEMBERS THAT WILL OFFER VISITORS A DELIGHTFUL WINDOW INTO INDIA'S CULTURE, HISTORY AND TRADITIONS.

OUR MAIN EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO BUILD A HOUSE OF INDIA COTTAGE IN BALBOA PARK NEAR THE EXISTING COTTAGES UNDER THE HOUSE OF PACIFIC RELATIONS. WE HAVE BEEN VERY DILIGENT IN KEEPING OUR EYES FOCUSED ON OUR PURPOSE. THE SAN DIEGO CITY COUNCIL APPROVED THE BUILDING OF THE COTTAGES AND WE CELEBRATED THE GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY ON NOVEMBER 19, 2016. WE WERE HOPING TO COMPLETE THE BUILDING OF OUR COTTAGE IN 2018. BUT THERE HAVE BEEN MANY SETBACKS WITH THE HOUSE OF PUBLIC RELATIONS IN DEALING WITH CONSTRUCTION OF THE COTTAGE. AT PRESENT, WE HOPE TO COMPLETE THE BUILDING BY 2020. WE HAVE BEEN FULLY AND COMPLETELY CO-OPERATING WITH THE HOUSE OF PUBLIC RELATIONS IN THIS ENDEAVOR.
