During the 2017-2018 fiscal year, Just Say Yes impacted students, educators and parents through programs at 166 schools/organizations. The assembly programs helped empower students (K thru 12th grades) to say yes' to their dreams and goals and no' to destructive choices such as - drugs, alcohol, unhealthy relationships and bullying. Topics covered included dating violence, drug and alcohol abuse, bullying, depression/suicide prevention, dropout prevention and standardized test preparation. Additionally, Just Say Yes provided weekly in-school peer-to-peer mentoring programs in seven high schools. Over 180 hours were invested in each of the 249 peer-to-peer mentoring students. In addition, staff development and parent programs were given, further impacting the social emotional learning (SEL) environment and culture of the schools Just Say Yes partners with. Since its founding in 2002, Just Say Yes has provided programming in 42 states, impacting over 1 million students, educators and parents.
