WE WILL EDUCATE TARGETED POPULATIONS, HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS AND THE PUBLIC WITH THE LATEST MESSAGING AND INFORMATION IN EFFORTS TO GET EVERYONE TESTED TO KNOW THEIR HIV STATUS AND ADHERENT IN A WAY THAT REDUCES STIGMA.

ACCOMPLISHMENT OF SPECTRUM MEDICAL CARE CENTER (SMCC) 2019 SMCC MISSION IS TO END HIV EPIDEMIC IN PHOENIX BY 2030 WHICH ALIGNS WITH THE FAST TRACK CITIES INITIATIVE GOAL. OUR WORK FOCUSES ON 2 MAJOR AREAS. HIV PREVENTION: WE PROVIDE PRE-EXPOSURE PROPHYLAXIS (PREP) EDUCATION AND MEDICAL SERVICES TO HIV NEGATIVE INDIVIDUALS. HIV TREATMENT AS PREVENTION (TASP): WE PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL CARE FOR HIV POSITIVE INDIVIDUALS TO ACHIEVE U=U (UNDETECTABLE EQUALS UNTRANSMITTABLE) GOAL.IN 2018 WE WORKED CLOSELY WITH ARIZONA DEPARTMENT FOR HEALTH SERVICES, MARICOPA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH, AND OTHER LOCAL HIV AGENCIES. WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING:HIV PREVENTION: WE HAVE DEDICATED PREP COORDINATOR AND NAVIGATORS TO WORK WITH ADHS TO EXPAND PREP USE. WE PARTNERED WITH RIPPLE PHOENIX TO INCREASE HIV TESTING, PREP EDUCATION, ASSESSMENT OF PREP NEEDS, AND INCREASE ACCESS TO PREP SERVICES AND TREATMENT. WE HAVE INCREASED DEDICATED PREP PROVIDERS AND OFFER EXTENDED HOURS AT OUR PREP CLINIC INCLUDING SATURDAY CLINIC TO ACCOMMODATE PATIENT ACCESS. WE DO SAME DAY START FOR PREP MEDICATIONS. WE ROUTINELY DO STIS TESTING AND TREATMENT THAT CAN REDUCE A RISK OF HIV ACQUISITION. WE ARE NOW THE LARGEST PREP CLINIC IN THE STATE. WE HAVE PARTNERED WITH SPECIALTY PHARMACIES TO ENSURE THAT PREP PATIENTS HAVE ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE TREATMENT AND TO IMPROVE PREP ADHERENCE.HIV TREATMENT: WE HAVE EXPERIENCED HIV CERTIFIED PROVIDERS TO ENSURE THAT HIV PATIENTS ARE ON APPROPRIATE TREATMENT REGIMENS, TO INCREASE TREATMENT ADHERENCE AND PATIENT RETENTION IN CARE TO ACHIEVE U=U GOALS. WE ROUTINELY DO STIS TESTING AND TREATMENT FOR PATIENTS. WE PARTNERED WITH HIV SPECIALTY PHARMACIES TO ENSURE THAT ALL PATIENTS HAVE ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE TREATMENT AND TO IMPROVE TREATMENT ADHERENCE.DR. THANES VANIG (CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER): DR. VANIG CONTINUED TO SERVE ON THE CITY OF PHOENIX FTCI AD HOC BOARD. HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR START (STATE OF ARIZONA RAPID TREATMENT) PROGRAM THAT CAN ADDRESS OUR CURRENT PROBLEMS AROUND LINKAGE TO CARE AND RETENTION IN CARE. IN 2018 DR. VANIG HAD 3 PRESENTATIONS ON START IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGIES AND RESULTS FROM 2018 AT THE ADHERENCE CONFERENCE 2019 IN JUNE AND THE FIRST FAST TRACK CITIES 2019 CONFERENCE IN SEPTEMBER IN LONDON ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PHOENIX FTCI. HE ALSO MODERATED ONE OF THE SESSIONS AT THE FTC 2019 CONFERENCE. DR. VANIG WORKED WITH ADHS TO DEVELOP A MODIFIED CAREWARE PROGRAM TO TRACK START PATIENTS AND SMCC WILL BE THE FIRST TESTING SITE IN THE STATE FOR THIS.
