HTU IS AN INTERACTIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM DESIGNED TO EXCITE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ABOUT SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH (STEM) AND EXPOSE THEM TO POTENTIAL CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN THE HIGH TECH INDUSTRY. VOLUNTEERS FROM INDUSTRY, LOCAL SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES SERVE AS THE INSTRUCTORS AND TEAM LEADERS, GUIDING STUDENTS THROUGH THEIR LESSONS AND OFFERING PRACTICAL ADVICE AND SUPPORT ON EDUCATION AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT. BY THE END OF 2018, THE SEMI FOUNDATION DELIVERED A TOTAL OF 237 HTU PROGRAMS IN THE UNITED STATES, AUSTRIA, FRANCE, JAPAN, KOREA, THE NETHERLANDS, SINGAPORE AND TAIWAN, AND REACHED AN IMMEDIATE AUDIENCE OF NEARLY 8,000 STUDENTS AND TEACHERS. IN ADDITION, THROUGH ITS TEACHERS WHO ATTENDED SEMI HTU TEACHER EDITION, IT IS ESTIMATED THAT OVER 125,000 STUDENTS HAVE BEEN REACHED AND PROVIDED WITH INFORMATION ABOUT MICROELECTRONICS INDUSTRIES.
