Every Child Succeeds provides an optimal start for children by promoting positive parenting and healthy child development prenatally and during the important first 1,000 days of life.
About
Every Child Succeeds is an evidence-based prevention program for at-risk first time mothers. Every Child Succeeds's goal is to strengthen the parent-child relationship, encourage good health practices, promote self sufficiency and optimize children's development. Every Child Succeeds provides home visitation services designed to ensure an optimal start for children. Home visits take place from the time of pregnancy through the child's third birthday.Every Child Succeeds families receive two to four visits each month from home visitors. To date, Every Child Succeeds has provided more than 610,000 home visits and has served more than 26,000 families. At any one time, more than 2,000 families are receiving home visits. Program activities include provision of the parents as teachers curriculum, screening and assessment of maternal status and child health and development, referrals to community resources, including social service and health care providers, and literacy promotion.
