Mission

New Leaf Behavioral Health is a non-profit community mental health organization founded to ensure that people in our community have access to affordable and effective mental health services.  Our approach to treatment ensures that all aspects of an individual's life are considered in developing a plan to help them make lasting, positive changes in their lives.  New Leaf is committed to creating a supportive environment where people feel comfortable exploring personal issues and developing the skills to help them achieve success. Mental illness impacts everyone directly or indirectly at some point in their lives and these issues often go unaddressed because of limitations in identifying symptoms or lack of information about available services.

About

Our outpatient counseling programs include mental health evaluations, individual counseling, group, couples and family therapy. At New Leaf Behavioral Health, we welcome all, the uninsured, underinsured and insured individuals in need of counseling services. Our mission focuses on improving both accessibility and affordability of counseling services for the community. We work to achieve this by removing financial, physical and situational barriers faced by those we serve through our programs. We offer in-home counseling as a component of our services to help families overcome barriers to receiving services. The reduced fee counseling program offers a sliding scale as low as $5 a session for the uninsured and underinsured, as well as free services for qualifying individuals. Our total clinical sessions in 2018 were 9,045 in which 6,613 sessions were devoted to the uninsured and underinsured. We had a total of 961 reduced fee sessions at an average cost $19.00 per session. Volunteers play a vital role in furthering our mission. We were fortunate to have a total of 7 volunteer therapists in 2018. Our total volunteer hours were 4,023.
