Supporting Mingyur Rinpoche's Activities in Nepal and India - primarily educating the Monks and Nuns throughout the region. Mingyur Rinpoche founded the Yongey Foundation in 2003 to support his worldwide activities which included the building of Tergar Monastery in Bodhgaya, the support of the young monks there, arranging for Rinpoche’s teaching tours and the publication of his books, The Joy of Living, Joyful Wisdom and Turning Confusion Into Clarity. In 2009 the newly created Tergar International took over the responsibility of supporting Rinpoche’s teachings activities and his many centers that make up his worldwide meditation community. With Tergar International in place, Mingyur Rinpoche then asked that The Yongey Foundation turn its attention to supporting his monastic communities in Tibet, Nepal, and India.
