For 134 years, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdPD) has heard and responded to the cries of those we serve, regardless of creed, ethnic or social background, health or gender. All are welcome at our door. SVdPD feeds families, provides beds, warm clothes and other urgent needs. Through face-to-face in-home visits, our Vincentian volunteers act as modern-day apostles offering hope, dignity and compassion by proclaiming and exemplifying Gospel values. Last year alone, SVdPD made over 45,000 home visits and served over 300,000 neighbors in the counties of Wayne, Macomb, Monroe, Lapeer and St. Clair.
