(3) TEACHING THE GAME OF GOLF AND A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF THE USGA RULES OF GOLF AND GOLF COURSE ETIQUETTE. (4) RECOGNIZING STUDENTS FOR THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS BOTH ON AND OFF THE GOLF COURSE. (5) ENCOURAGING FAMILIES TO ENJOY THE GAME OF GOLF TOGETHER. (6) PROMOTING THE CONTINUED GROWTH OF THE GAME OF GOLF THROUGH COOPERATION WITH AREA GOLF COURSE FACILITIES AND SCHOOLS. DURING THE SPRING AND SUMMER OF 2019 THE TCJGA HOSTED LESSON SESSIONS, TOURNAMENTS AND THE IN-SCHOOL GOLF PROGRAM FOR OVER 700 BOYS AND GIRLS FROM 4 TO 22 YEARS OF AGE. THE ASSOCIATION HAD 253 ACTIVE MEMBERS WITH 173 PARTICIPATING IN 25 LESSON SESSIONS AND OVER 130 PARTICIPATING IN JUNIOR GOLF TOURNAMENTS. THE LESSONS WERE HELD AT TWO LOCATIONS, BAY MEADOWS FAMILY GOLF COURSE AND THE GRAND TRAVERSE RESORT AND SPA. JUNIOR GOLF TOURNAMENTS WERE HOSTED AT 14 DIFFERENT GOLF COURSES DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. THE IN-SCHOOL GOLF PROGRAM WAS HOSTED AT SEVERAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS DURING PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES AND 218 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THIS INDOOR GOLF PROGRAM USING SPECIAL GOLF EQUIPMENT DESIGNED FOR INDOOR USE.
