Edgerton Hospital partners with other city services (such as the police and fire departments) to provide emergency equipment and training necessary to enhance area emergency services. Edgerton Hospital also participates in cooperative emergency response training (with the county and other community services) in preparation for local or area disasters. Community Education:Events are held at the Hospital or conducted by Hospital staff several times a year. In addition, Edgerton Hospital provides targeted outreach to the transient recreational communities within the service area. Charity Care:The Hospital provides care to patients who meet certain criteria under its charity care policy without charge or at amounts less than established rates. Because the Hospital does not pursue collection of amounts determined to qualify as charity care, they are not reported as revenue.
