ESSENTIA HEALTH ST. MARY'S-DETROIT LAKES EMPLOYS OVER 700 FULL TIME EQUIVALENTS. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019, ESSENTIA HEALTH ST. MARY'S-DETROIT LAKES PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING COMMUNITY BENEFITS: $1.6 MILLION IN CHARITY CARE, $105,000 IN COMMUNITY SERVICES, $313,000 IN HEALTH PROFESSION EDUCATION, AND $12,000 IN CASH AND IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS.ESSENTIA HEALTH ST. MARY'S-DETROIT LAKES HOSPITAL IS A MODERN ACUTE CARE FACILITY LICENSED FOR 87 BEDS. ESSENTIA HEALTH ST. MARY'S-DETROIT LAKES PROVIDES BOTH PRIMARY AND SELECT SECONDARY PATIENT SERVICES, INCLUDING A 12-BED WOMEN'S UNIT, THREE OPERATING ROOMS, HOME HEALTH, AND FULL IMAGING AND LABORATORY SERVICES. ESSENTIA HEALTH ST. MARY'S-DETROIT LAKES HAS A LEVEL III TRAUMA DESIGNATION, IS A PRIMARY STROKE CENTER HOSPITAL, AND HAS BEEN AWARDED THE GOLD SEAL OF APPROVAL BY THE JOINT COMMISSION FOR DEMONSTRATED COMMITMENT TO STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE. ESSENTIA HEALTH ST. MARY'S THERAPY CENTER OFFERS PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL, AND SPEECH THERAPY SERVICES TO ALL AGES. THE HOSPITAL PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 5,800 HOSPITAL PATIENT DAYS AND 53,000 OUTPATIENT VISITS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019.ESSENTIA HEALTH ST. MARY'S-DETROIT LAKES PROVIDES MULTI-SPECIALTY AND PRIMARY CARE CLINIC SERVICES TO A WIDE ARRAY OF PATIENTS IN THE COMMUNITIES OF DETROIT LAKES, PARK RAPIDS, MENAHGA, MAHNOMEN, FRAZEE, PELICAN RAPIDS, LAKE PARK, AND WALKER.
